April 22, 2017 ~ Though He Slay Me, Yet Will I Trust In Him:

Well it’s been 3 months since my last entry, my PSA started to rise from 38ng/ml to 88ng/ml in March, then to 99ng/ml in April along with increase Alkaline Phosphate signaling that Jerry was on the move. The Alk Phos indicates bone activity.

So we elected to do a Full Body Nuclear Bone Scan. The report follows:

HISTORY: prostate cancer.

TECHNIQUE: Following the IV administration of 27.0 mCi of

Tc-99m-MDP, delayed anterior and posterior whole body images were acquired.

COMPARISON: 2/18/2016

The extensive osteoblastic lesion seen on the prior examination are again seen and have increased in overall extent of involvement. Specific regions demonstrate progression include the distal clavicle on the right, the glenoid region on the left, and the right hemipelvis.

New areas of involvement include 2 foci in the cervical spine near the skull base, multiple levels of the mid to upper thoracic and entire lumbar spine, the proximal right femur, and multiple bilateral ribs. There is a new lesion in the proximal mandible on the left. There are also new subtle lesions in the proximal to mid diaphyseal regions of the left femur. Photopenia corresponds to the upper portion of the pelvis in the lower thoracic spine, areas result treated with radiation therapy. The kidneys and urinary bladder appear unremarkable. The distal upper and lower extremities appear normal.

Progression of disease with increased size of previous lesions and multiple new lesions identified.

We added another HRT (Hormone Reduction Treatment) Casodex (Bicalutamide) to my protocol seeings that some of the cancer was not responding to the Eligard (Leuprolide) shot I receive once a month.

Soooo, besides the standing lesions getting bigger, I now have new ones on my Bilateral Shoulder Joints, Cervical Spine, Thoracic Spine, more in my Ribs, Sternum  and now in my left jaw, now ALL of my lumber Spine, more in my Pelvic Region, Hips Joints and Femur.

I thank God I am not experiencing any bone pain, I still go to the gym, Chiropractor and Natalie’s Healing Hands.

Returned to clinic last week and the PSA had significantly dropped to 13ng/ml, Praise The Lord! This kinda slows downs and holds the cancer where it is. This could hold for 6 months to years.

I still hold that God knows what He’s doing and how my life is to go according to His plan, ~ in the mean time I will not stay idle.

I continue with my Church Jail Ministry of which I am totally enjoying.  After over a half year planning, having to receive approval from not on The Sheriff of Clay County, The Presiding Judge of The Court, Mayor and many other unspoken authorities.

Chief Deputy LT. Rick Lisi and Sam Garner, both Jail Team Ministry Saints of Life Church, got together last December and started to put into fruition a scenario to take willing male inmates to The Clay County Courthouse and show the Mel Gipson film, “The Passion of The Christ.” On the Court’s big screen LCD TV.

All glory be to God! that we celebrated Good Friday at the Clay County Courtroom with 12 inmates who were transported from the jail to not only watch the movie, but were served Pizza and drinks provided by the church, pizzas and soda were also given to the rest of the jail population and staff.

The highlight of this this glorious occasion was that they were offered Holy Communion of home baked unleavened bread and ceremonial grape juice as we all shared in Jesus ‘s admonition “To do this in remembrance of Me.

God is moving in our Jail Ministry Team. Let us all continue to pray that the Jail Ministry continue to allow and encourage The Holy Spirit to operate with liberty in all our Churches behind bars.

I told the fellas “Here you return to the very court where you received man’s judgment this time not to be but judged but to receive God’s Holy Communion and Love of forgiveness!”  ~~~ How cool is that????

The Sun is coming out more and more I am looking forward to hitting the road and seeing this awesome country of ours, been “tweaking” lil details on my bike getting it ready for some “Putt’n”

Got a 50 year High School Reunion next year I look forward to.

At church and Olivia wanted to sit on “Papo’s Bike.”

Good people, as I tell the fellas at the jails, stay encouraged in what you are goin through, as much as you can, take your eyes and mind off what’s happening to you and go out and find total strangers that you can not possibly gain anything from ~~~ and serve them.

A Nursing Home, walk the halls of the hospital and “Pop In” in a room and visit. The Soup Kitchens, Homeless Shelters.

The scripture below got me off of my problems and led me to The Jail Ministry, there’s something out there right up your alley that would do your soul good.

Paul said in II Corinthians 12

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

I have sat down and sought the Lord several times to remove this thorn (Cancer) from my flesh, but like Paul, He strengthened me to carry on WITH IT! For it is truly true that in my weakness He has given me strength.

Therefore I DO testify of His love and Grace for me.

This passage below is what got me off myself and on about the works of my Father.

Matthew 25:36 Context

33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

QUALITY OF LIFE, is what you seek most ~ if you think about it.

This is one way to get to it.

So inspiring. Continue to like the old saints use to say, “Let God stretch out in ya.” Your tenacity, faith and love for people is absolutely beautiful. I love you more than words. But then, you already know that☺

  2. Judy Hand says:

Nathan, Roger and I send our love and best wishes as you continue to spread God’s message and love to many who would not have known it otherwise, even as you suffer from cancer. Our prayer is for you to get better and better! God bless you…..

  3. Marla says:

Nat you are strong as a ox. You are meant to be here. Jesus once said. Ask and you shall receive . I have no doubt we will see you soon someday.
