I was pleasantly surprised when Jennie, Rebekah and Olivia insisted on going to my appointment ~ they drove with me to my doctor’s appointment in Nashville to find out the results….of the Whole Body Bone Scan and Abdomen Scan
Dr. Tang told us that;
DIAGNOSIS: #1: PROSTATE, RIGHT, BIOPSY: PROSTATIC ADENOCARCINOMA,
GLEASON SCORE 4+3=7, INVOLVING 6 OF 6 CORES, 30% OF TOTAL TISSUE
#2: PROSTATE, LEFT, BIOPSY: PROSTATIC ADENOCARCINOMA,
GLEASON SCORE 4+4=8 WITH TERTIARY PATTERN 5, INVOLVING 6 OF 6 CORES,
60% OF TOTAL TISSUE.
PSA: 16.2, 29.6 g, + left nodule
-Presents to discuss treatment options
-Bone scan showed isolated metastases to left seventh rib – states he does have a h/o trauma on the left ribs
-Bilateral enlarged pelvic nodes noted on CT
Bone Scan 11/8
Here’s my PSA Scores
Findings most compatible with an isolated metastases to left
seventh rib laterally.
CT A/P 11/8
1. Solitary blastic lesion corresponding to the left seventh rib
anterolaterally is most consistent with osseous metastasis.
2. Enlarged bilateral internal obturator lymph node (right
greater than left) left common iliac lymph node, and
asymmetrically enlarged left seminal vesicle are suspicious for
malignant involvement. Minimally enlarged right inguinal lymph
node is identified which is nonspecific.
All this above says: ~~~ I had Adenocarcinoma Prostate Cancer that has spread to my lymph nodes ~~~ they want to do further test to see if the area on my rib was cancerous or not, this would have a significant impact on the treatment.
The trip home was uncomfortable, I was scared, I know they both were, But Jennie says I was gonna live another 30 years! Imagine that~~~ she wanted to stay with me for another 30 years~~ how bout that~~~~
